I will show that the focus of my project is part of a larger issue by relating it to other establishments that focus on fast product. Maybe those places suffer on customer connection or maybe it isn’t even a priority. Either way other fast food establishments can better their customer service and that could be part of a larger issue.
Final sentence. The customer service industry differs from establishment to establishment, just remember that everyone is human and there should be no problem.

I’ve been thinking of what my recommendation will be for my audience since the project is customer service based and most everyone interacts with some sort of customer service in some way this recommendation will be split. One for the customers and one for the person serving the customer. My recommendation for the customer would have to be, just be understanding of the person serving you no matter what. My recommendation for the servicer would have to be, just be understanding of the person you are serving, no matter what. The discussion will mainly appeal to ethos with some pathos. We are working with character here and I need to get across that it’s important to pay attention to everyone's needs even if it’s not your job.
In my literature review section of my project I aim to accomplish a structured section in a larger project where I present my research. I aim to create a dialogue from the ideas of the different sources I found and how they agree and disagree. I will achieve this by picking ideas in common from the different sources as well as ideas that seem to go against each other.
For my introduction I need to explain how my project began and the evolution of the project. I need to try and place myself within a discourse community that I feel like everyone a part of. I need to explain who this project will affect most, while still explaining that everyone can be affected by this project. I need to state my controlling purpose. I also need to think of rhetoric, appealing to ethos and pathos in the introduction. To accomplish these task I need to: prepare my thinking and general ideas by putting them in an outline for the introduction while keeping rhetoric in mind.
Approaching a bigger text in smaller more digestible parts is very appealing to me, if you manage your time right you could easily complete a large assignment in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It has changed my approach to texts and now when I think of conquering a large paper I feel like I have the tools to get it done.
I like the fact that you can learn how to write well, I thought that I’d never learn how to write because I’ve only been in contact with people who have been writing for years. I never thought I could reach that level. Now that I’ve completed most of my research to the larger project I can now say that this class has thoroughly changed my opinion on what it takes to learn how to write. First Source
https://digitalccbeta.coloradocollege.edu/pid/coccc:6499 Annotation This source written by Kelly Jean Ann LaVoie, she was a student at The Colorado College in Colorado Springs. The purpose of this secondary source is to find out, through research and interviews, if loyalty programs like reward point tiers to get a free or discounted item improves customer loyalty. It appeals to logos by presenting facts about the company and the facts of their interviews. Presence is a bit dated, almost a decade ago. However, I still feel like this information is relevant. I will be able to use this source in my project because Starbucks has a reward program as well and I can use this thesis to determine if it affecting customer scores. Second Source https://digitalccbeta.coloradocollege.edu/pid/coccc:1342 Annotation This secondary source by Natalie Abel is a thesis project from the year 2009. As credible as the last source, the author was a student at the Colorado College in Colorado Springs. The purpose with this paper is to show the difference between a Starbucks coffee shop with an independent coffee shop. She presents this with a sense of pathos while still employing logos by presenting the interviews in a unbiased fashion. I’d say this paper is biased towards the independent coffee shops because they are more vulnerable that an individual Starbucks store. I can use this source because it deals with how customers feel about Starbucks as a corporation. I figured there was always a reason why texts are written why they are, but never understood the intricacies and thinking about the rhetoric of how the certain text was situated. It changes how I think about texts because pretty much all texts take from another source and builds upon that specific network of information. It will affect how I compose texts from now on. I already thought about sources and such, but all of the information was just things I thought of, but all of those thoughts must have sources as well. I need to dig deeper into how sources are situated and how my texts are situated.
My source is "DETERMINANTS OF CUSTOMER LOYALTY IN THE SPECIALTY COFFEE INDUSTRY: THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CUSTOMER LOYALTY TO AN INDEPENDENT COFFEE SHOP AND STARBUCKS"
This sources purpose is to show the difference between local coffee shops and the international business of Starbucks. It goes about achieving its purpose by explaining how the two types of businesses operate. I will use this in the larger project by quoting some of the parts that are applicable to my project. I'm having trouble finding good secondary sources for my topic. I just can not find anything that would relate to improving customer relations or anything else Starbucks or customer service related.
My sources for this project will be some interviews, I need to make seperate interview questions while still leaving room for follow up questions for the different kinds of people I will be interviewing. These different groups of people would be. Starbucks employees at my specific store, employees at another store, and customers at my particular store. Other sources I can use is the Starbucks specific guidelines for customers. They have an extensive program on how to interact with customers. All of these sources would be intensely useful because as I gather information from different viewpoints I can gather what exactly is wrong with the current system and implement the system when the busier season starts.
